CM Teens

The CM Teens Educational Program is open to Teenagers. Our dedicated staff educates students in multiple aspects of the theatre world resulting in a full-scale production. Throughout the years, our CM Teens have put on such shows as Les Miserables, High School Musical, Pippin, Godspell, Urinetown, The Little Mermaid and many more fantastic productions.

Open to Ages 13-19
Auditions: Satuday, November 26, 12PM-2:30PM

Call Backs: Sunday, November 27, 10AM-12:30PM
Classes Run: Mondays 5:00pm-7:30pm, Wednesdays 5:00pm-7:30pm, Sundays 10:00am-1:00pm, with additional days and times during tech week.
Registration is $500 (Fee includes $100 non-refundable registration fee.)

PERFORMANCE DATES: Saturday, February 11 at 2PM. Sunday, February 12 at 2PM and 7:30PM

DIRECTOR – Patrick Campbell






NATALIE HALLER/ED – A mechanic and small-town tomboy who dreams of having more. Dresses up as “Ed” to get closer to Chad. Strong belt to C5, must be able to move well.
CHAD – The “Elvis” character. A great-lookin’, motorcycling, guitar-playing, leather-jacketed roustabout. Rock baritone to A flat, must be able to move well.
DENNIS – A young, quirky and awkward, aspiring dentist and Natalie’s best friend.  Strong tenor to B flat, must be able to move well.
JIM HALLER – Natalie’s widowed father, down-to-earth and messy. Baritone to E flat.
SYLVIA – African-American; The no-nonsense owner of Sylvia’s Honky-Tonk and Lorraine’s mother. Strong belt to B flat.
LORRAINE – African-American; Sylvia’s smart, sassy, and sweet teenage daughter looking for love. Strong belt to C and mix to high F, must be great dancer.
MISS SANDRA – The beautiful, intellectual caretaker of the town’s museum. High belter.
DEAN HYDE – Mayor Matilda’s teenage son. He has spent his youth at military boarding schools and has never disobeyed his mother. Strong tenor to B#, must be great dancer.
MAYOR MATILDA HYDE – The town’s prim and proper conservative Mayor. Strong soprano voice.
SHERIFF EARL – The law in town and a man of few words, he loyally follows the Mayor wherever she goes. Baritone to E flat.
ENSEMBLE –Incredibly strong singers and dancers, all ethnicities.

Frequently Asked Questions

A limited number of work-study partial scholarships are available for the CM Teens program.  Work-study jobs are assigned by the Executive Director as available and may include office work, spotlight operation, or other theatrical areas.

Auditions will be held on the first day of classes.  If students choose not to accept their role after casting, the tuition fee can be refunded before the first rehearsal begins.
